The wedding planning process is an exciting time for brides, but it can also be extremely stressful managing all the small details. From choosing the venue, flowers, cake, and food one can lose track of what all needs to be done leading up to the big day. Laurin Fegley and his staff at Simply Smooth Special Events in Allentown, help to take the stress off of brides by offering floral design, catering, and event planning all under one roof.

Being in the wedding business for 25 years, Fegley has mastered the art of planning the perfect wedding for couples. As a self-trained chef, Fegley began his business only catering special events but over time he realized that he had a passion for planning events as well. Fegley mentions, “The most important part of the event is the cohesion, making sure all the pieces fit together.” So if you’re choosing Simply Smooth to plan your wedding, you can be assured that everything will be picture perfect.

Simply-Smooth-2webstoryBesides offering tasty, aromatic food, Simply Smooth will help plan your event from start to finish.  Simply Smooth aims to be a “one stop shop” for brides. They can come in and have a consultation and walk away knowing what their wedding is going to cost from start to finish. Simply Smooth covers a lot of things that brides don’t even consider. They offer a pre fixe wedding menu, but couples are encouraged to customize a menu that best fits their palette.

A menu can be customized according to a couple’s budget, needs, and ideas. Not only will Simply Smooth plan your entire wedding and feed decadent dishes to your guests, they will also help with details such as set up and clean up. When it’s finally time to cut the cake, you can be sure it will be just as perfect as the rest of the food since all the baking and cake decorating is done in house.

Simply-Smooth1webstory2Since Fegley has been in the business for many years, we wanted to get his expert opinion on the latest wedding trends. Fegley states, “Brides are using more color and stepping away from burlap. This year in particular there are fewer wedding cakes than before. Brides are doing pie bars with ice cream and whipped cream on the side. There are longer cocktail hours and less focus on dinner, which gives the bride and groom more times for photographs. Brides are also choosing more laidback, outdoor receptions such as tents, barns, and outdoor properties.”

With Fegely’s expert knowledge of weddings, you will be sure to have a perfect, stress free day to remember.
