Lauren’s Makeup Designs

Lauren Bennett of Lauren’s Makeup Designs in Allentown, has been a professional makeup artist for 11 years and is definitely someone to put on the top of your list. With past experience doing freelance work for well-known makeup companies such as Prescriptives, Chanel, Christian Dior and Estee Lauder, be assured that you’ll be looking gorgeous on your wedding day when choosing Lauren and her team.

Bennett’s love for makeup artistry began when she was working for one of the most prestigious makeup companies out there: MAC. From learning the basics of color to being certified in tattoo and brow covering, Bennett kept expanding her knowledge so she could become a well-rounded makeup artist. She went onto to work for Neiman Marcus for 3 years as a cosmetic sales associate and artist until she opened Lauren’s Makeup Designs in April 2011. When asked why she went into the makeup industry, Bennett says “I went into the makeup industry because I love making people look and feel their best! There is something about the way they look in the mirror and look back at you and say WOW! The line we use on everything and I have on my wall at the studio is: If you are Confident, you are Beautiful. I live by that every day!”

At Lauren’s Makeup Designs a variety of different services are offered to brides and their bridal party. Bennett’s team offers airbrush and traditional makeup applications to all clients, which include false eyelashes with each application. Another unique service offered by Lauren’s Makeup Designs is organic airbrush tanning. Bennett mentions that brides can request a tanning party at the studio which allows anyone in the wedding to receive a tan. In addition, the person who hosts the party receives a discounted tan.

Bennett offers onsite makeup application and pricing to fit into all budgets. When it comes to choosing between traditional makeup application and airbrush makeup, Bennett says that brides are choosing the water and sweat resistant airbrush makeup. Trends that Bennett is noticing for the upcoming wedding season for brides is that ladies are looking for their skin to have a healthy, sun kissed glow or an overall matte porcelain finish. An all-natural looks that enhances a brides features. Also, brides seem to still be choosing the traditional smoky eye look. One trend that Bennett notices is fading out this season is extreme, harsh contouring.

At Lauren’s Makeup Designs you’ll find a variety of excellent makeup products being used. The airbrush makeup comes from one of the top companies in the industry, TEMPTU. Almost all the other makeup products come from Bennett’s makeup line that was launched in 2014: Beauty by Bennett. Having her own makeup line truly makes Bennett a unique makeup artist in the Lehigh Valley. Each member of my team has been trained with one goal in mind: a flawless finish. Each brides gets a trial with the makeup artist she selects.
